Nazionale Battitura Metalli is a family workshop in Italy that has beaten metal leaf since 1928. They also make the aluminum for our ribbons. We visited them last year and came home with their finest loose leaf.

Most of the vault started as mics we made for our own songs, videos and projects, each painted in our East LA paint shop with a clear idea of what it should feel like.
We bring that same intention to every mic we build for you. Find yours in the vault, or design it in the mic builder.

Is a vault mic any different from a regular Ohma?
Only the paint. Same build, same hand-tuning, same testing and the same warranty: 1 year, or 2 when you register it.
Can you make another one?
Not this one. Every vault mic happened once. We make custom mics all the time, so we can make you something in the same spirit.
When does it ship?
The paint is already done. Pick Ribbon or Condenser and we build it, test it and ship it within a week.
Who pays VAT, duties and customs fees?
You do. International orders may be subject to local taxes, VAT, import duties and customs or brokerage fees, payable by the recipient. Your country sets these, not us, so we can’t tell you the exact amount ahead of time. FedEx usually collects them before or at delivery.
They aren’t included in your order total. Your local customs office can tell you what to expect.
Will it arrive in time for the holidays?
Yes. Every mic ordered during the sale ships in time, builder mics included.
Can I return it?
Vault mics are final sale, since each one is one of one. Our regular Ohma Ribbons and Condensers have 30-day returns, including our ready-to-ship mics and mics you design in the mic builder.
Can I pay over time?
Yes, with Affirm: 12 months at 0% APR if you qualify.
