Open Mic Builder

Each mic comes in a sturdy drawer box with two Ohma 1.21 mm guitar picks for screen swapping and a shock mount clip.

Sweet on top, round on the bottom. Built around our own edge-terminated, single backplate capsule we call The Debby. Ohma condensers are voiced in the spirit of vintage classics, but with a tone that’s unmistakably ours.

Expect a fuller low end than most condensers, with a smooth top that’s present without ever feeling harsh. Clarity, warmth, and character all in one mic.

Stripes Tone Summary

Stripes is perfect for picking up midrange tones. Electric guitar comes to life with this mic combination. It has a very "up-front" sound that will be instantly recognizable to your audience. The transients are also very "snappy" making this screen a great choice for percussive playing.

"If you’re looking to shake up the look and sound of your mic collection, this is the one for you."

–David Blascoe / Recording Mag
"The Ohma Ribbon, despite its 'colorful' visual nature, is a professional studio ribbon mic that more than holds its own with the classic heavy hitters mentioned above. It sounds THAT good."

    What People Are Saying

Thanks for allowing normal dudes like me to borrow and demo the mic. Honestly it's such a quality piece of kit.

It's so tiring searching for opinions and suggestions online only to buy something to find out that it doesn't work with my amp/guitar/setup.

It is refreshing having a company willing to take a chance and standing by their equipment to the point of loaning it out like you did.

    John G.

Within about 30 minutes I knew I wasn't sending it back.

Easily one of my favorite pieces of gear, and an all around great company.

I highly recommend Ohma Mics to anyone looking for a beautiful mic that doesn't skimp on quality.

    Zander B.

Thank you so much again for sending the demo mic my way!

I finally had the chance to test out the mic with a client, and I just have to say — I was super impressed.

The client was blown away too — he even asked how much it costs and started checking out the gold version on your website mid-session!

Again, I can’t thank you enough. The mic is truly a professional-grade tool, and it exceeded expectations.

    Jeanmark C.

Wow, the microphone is amazing and I really loved the tone it brings. It has that warm and natural sound you look for in a ribbon mic, and it responds well in the mid frequencies. [...]

But honestly, you’re creating something truly beautiful with a high level of sonic quality.

    Ismael O.

The microphone sounds incredible. for the price, I personally prefer it over some of the U87s I've used in more professional settings.

It’s so crisp and detailed, and sounds good on just about anything from tracking vocals, to guitar.

Thanks for the opportunity to test it out!

It’s been wonderful and wish more companies would do a free trial phase with the option to purchase at the end of it as you guys do!

    Noah L.

    The mic is gorgeous!

It’s difficult to stop trying on everything. It can be so very colored or very crisp depending on positioning.

It’s the best sounding mic I’ve used on vocals. I had a warm audio 67 and 87 and various others. This little guy shames them all. It’s brilliant!

    Brandon L.

You guys should be very proud, this is a gorgeous sounding microphone and it's been so fun getting to use it for this time.

Ohma World consists of a small team of engineers and artists with backgrounds in legendary mic design, including work with AEA Ribbon Mics and Bock Audio.

Our microphones stand out for their patented acoustic modular design, our own proprietary capsule (not a clone like most condenser mics), and a generous price made possible by building everything in-house.

Every Ohma mic is handcrafted from capsule and ribbon tuning to final paint, giving us complete control over both quality and performance.
