The Kintsugi

$2,514.00 CAD$2,794.00 CAD

Kintsugi is a centuries-old Japanese practice of restoring broken ceramics with lacquer and powdered gold. Instead of hiding the fracture, the repair becomes a visible part of the object’s identity. The Kintsugi mic follows the same meticulous processes used for our flagship microphones, then continues further through a sculptural, hand-applied gold repair that honors the philosophy that inspired it.

Sculpted and finished by hand in our East Los Angeles workshop. This piece may be completed as either a ribbon or a condenser.

We’re offering this piece at $1,799 through January 7.

About Ohma Ribbon Microphones

Warm, smooth, and full of character. Ribbon mics are known for their vintage vibe and forgiving top end perfect for electric guitar amps, vocals with edge, or anything that needs tone and texture.

Ohma ribbons are active and feature a custom Lehle transformer, which means they play nice with standard audio interfaces and require 48v phantom power.

Motif Tone Summary

Motif is Ohma’s flagship screen — the one we designed everything else around. It delivers a textured, full-bodied tone that feels polished right out of the box. Balanced across lows, mids, and highs, it brings out the best in vocals, instruments, and layered recordings. Transient, versatile, and smooth, Motif stacks beautifully in any mix no EQ required.
