Ohmie Microphone
Dual Voltage Condenser Microphone
The Ohmie is a cardioid condenser microphone with high output, low self-noise, and a transformerless design. Its Dual Voltage switch runs the capsule at either 48V, for a natural, smooth, relaxed sound, or 80V, for a more immediate, punchy, defined sound with about 5 dB more sensitivity.
- Dual Voltage: switch the capsule between 48V and 80V
- Both modes run on standard 48V phantom power, from interfaces to field recorders
- Hand-tuned, edge-terminated cardioid capsule
- Low-noise, high-output transformerless circuit
- Isolated capsule mount, plus an included custom isolation clip
- Magnetic Pop Filter, sold separately or in the bundle
- Designed and assembled in East Los Angeles
- Free shipping worldwide
- 30-day returns
- Built in East LA

Dual Voltage
One capsule, two sounds. 48V is natural and smooth. 80V is immediate and defined, with about 5 dB more output.

Magnetic Pop Filter
Snaps onto the front of the Ohmie in seconds, with no clamps or goosenecks around the mic.

Studio and Field
Built-in isolation keeps stand noise out, and it runs on standard phantom power, from your interface to a field recorder.
Explore the Ohmie →The high end is smooth, and the low and mids are butter. On top of that, it’s probably one of the best looking microphones out now.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
The Ohmie microphone and our custom isolation mic clip. The Magnetic Pop Filter is sold separately or in the bundle.
-
No. The Ohmie runs on standard 48V phantom power. Internal circuitry generates the higher polarization voltage the capsule uses in 80V mode.
-
Yes. It runs on standard 48V phantom power, including from portable field recorders.
-
Whichever sounds right to you. 48V and 80V are two different sounds, not settings for particular sources, and both have plenty of headroom. Try both on the same source and keep the one you like.
-
They're two different microphone designs, both built and tuned by us in East Los Angeles. The Ohmie is a transformerless condenser with our Dual Voltage system. You shape its sound by switching the capsule between 48V and 80V.
The Ohma is a transformer-coupled condenser built around our original Debby capsule, or an active ribbon. You shape its sound with modular magnetic screens that physically change its acoustic response, and you can customize its colors, finishes, and logo. -
One year, or two years when you register your Ohmie. It's the same warranty as our Ohma microphones.
